Running is all about motivational aspirations for some people, I never really understood it though, as on an average day I have enough anger in me to fuel a few marathons without external intervention. In a recent visit to the running track I encountered someone who took it to the next level, not only embedding it on his body, but doing it in Hebrew. Given my familiarity with the alphabet, I made an attempt to read it, but it didn't make a lot of sense, it said something like: "חלום כאילו אתה תחיה לנצח. לחיות כאילו היום הוא האחרון שלך"

With the assistance of an online keyboard service, I looked it up and realized it was originally a James Dean quote that got lost in translation "Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today." While the hedonistic part of me was excited to validate this sentiment, there was another part in me I noticed, that questioned if the running track is an appropriate place to spend one's last day, perhaps it is for some of us.
